I’m using MySQL 8.0.40 for the Bacula catalog, and the database server is running on the same host as the Bacula Director.
Each Bacula component runs in its own Docker container: - Bacula Director - Catalog (MySQL) - Main Storage Daemon The remote Storage Daemon is also running in its own Docker container on the remote host.
