Warning to all who might have received this message directly, as I did:
Please do not respond to this request. Allen Hacker is the man who
singlehandedly destroyed the Badnarik for Congress campaign in 2006 and,
in doing so, wasted over $400K of donor funds (including, regrettably,
some of mine) and tarnished the good name (and very likely ruined the
political future) of a good man and a good Libertarian, Michael Badnarik.
This money (if you are foolish enough to send it) will not go to benefit
Michael in any way, nor will it go to build the libertarian movement.
If you want to help Michael, go to
http://www.constitutionpreservation.org/ and assist as you see fit. If
you want to benefit the libertarian movement, give to your state or
national LP, the Advocates for Self-Government, the Cato Institute, or
any of dozens of legitimate libertarian-minded organizations. If you
send anything to Mr. Hacker, it will just be good money thrown after
$400K+ of bad. IMHO, the best thing to do regarding Allen Hacker (at
best grossly incompetent, at worst a con man) is to just ignore him
until he goes away. Hopefully for good.
