There is a well-known book in English entitled *The True Believer* which describes the psychological make-up of those who feel compelled to lose their individuality in mass movements. In this case, I meant a 'true believer' in Ruhi, not the Faith.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Eric Hoffer - must have been in 1966 - when I was a sophomore at the University of Texas at El Paso. He was there for a presentation to the public and a graduate seminar that I was allowed to sit in on. A most impressive man.
