IT'S TIME FOR THE GUY WHO WORKS AT A JAIL TO WEIGH IN :-). Actually, you're both right. In forensics we discuss the sociopathic triangle; fire setting, cruelty to animals, and bed wetting. All three turn up in many serial killers.
