I don't think that triumphalism is impossible in a Baha'i context because, as 
you said, Baha'u'llah's Revelation is only superior in relation to the past. 
Progressive Revelation - whether between Dispensations, within Dispensations, 
within societies or groups, or contained within individual biographies - should 
be a healthy antidote for all claims of triumphalism.
