There are interesting dates connected with lunar and solar years.

 

Knowing these:

 

1) Bahá’u’lláh received His Mission during His imprisonment in the Black Pit, between August and November 1852 AD.

2) The “Year Nine” of the Islamic Calendar (1 Muharram 1269 AH) related to the Báb’s prophecy started on Friday, 15 October 1852 AD.

3) So, is very possible Bahá’u’lláh receive His Mission in/after Friday 15 October 1852 AD.

 

Computing…

 

For Islamic Calendar (lunar):

1 Muharram 1269 AH + 1,000 lunar years = 1 Muharram 2269 AH or Thursday 5 January 2823 AD.

 

Roughly converted to Bahá’í Calendar = 6 Sharaf 979 EB

 

 For Gregorian Calendar (solar):

Friday 15 October 1852 AD + 1,000 solar years = Tuesday 15 October 2852 AD or 10 Ramadan 2299 AH.

 

Roughly converted to Bahá’í Calendar = 19 Mashiyyat 1009 EB

 

Conclusion:

 

We have different dates 2823 AD and 2852 AD

Coincidently 2852 – 2823 = 19 years!!!
