But you are ignoring those passages which explicitly prohibit the kind of
behavior you are speaking of.
I'm not ignoring them, I just don't think "nice passages" don't expunge "problematic passages". The same Bible which says "Turn the other cheek" and "love your enemies" is the same Bible which has the Jewish crowd shouting for Pilate to free Barabbas "His blood [Jesus' blood] be on us and on our children".

That, of course, is much harder to control. But Baha'is don't see the
Muslims as a seperate category like Christians tended to see Jews. From our
standpoint they simply did what every community before them had done.

I'm going to be very unlikely to believe simple categorical statements like that. "Bahais don't see the Muslims as a seperate category"... that just sounds bizzre. The Bahai writings actually do make specific statements about "the people of the Quran" and Islam stands in a special relationship to the Bahai faith which the Bahai faith doesn't necessarily have with other religions.
