I'm not sure what you mean exactly. So you are saying that just as some Christians really believed that the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, and the scattering of the Jews, and the Holocaust and the rest of the suffering experienced by the Jewish people in the past 2000 years was a punishment for rejecting Jesus.. you are basically saying the Serbian attempts to ethnically cleanse Muslims, colonialism in the Middle East, and the rest of the suffering of Muslim people is just God's righteous punishment for persecuting the Bab and Bahaullah?

Would you agree?

Dear Gilberto, I hope that you did read all of the quotations in the posts to which I referred.

It would appear that men have not the "fear of God";, for if they did they would realise that He fulfills His threats of punishment as He pleases as well as He fulfills His promises of rewards.

"Should God punish men for their perverse doings, he would not leave on
earth a moving thing! but to an appointed term doth He respite them; and when their term is come, they shall not delay or advance it an hour. The Qur'an" (Rodwell tr), Sura 16 - The Bee)

Baha'u'llah states.

"Such hath been the perversity of men and their transgressions, so grievous have been the trials that have afflicted the Prophets of God and their chosen ones, that all mankind deserveth to be tormented and to perish". (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 76)

But men believe that they know what constitutes justice; and so make judgment according to their thinking rather than according to the Word of God.

May you be immersed in the ocean of God's mercy.

Richard.
