Do you really want an answer to that?

and you are
portraying yourself as understanding and empathetic or whatever.

Not particularly and not uniquely. Not all Bahais have been reacting in the same way.

I'm not asking you to condemn the school fcaulty of *my* elementary
school. I have been defending Islam in many forums. And I will continue
to do so.

I'm glad. I hope you do continue with that.

I'm asking you to condemn the school faculty and principal of Rich's
daughter. Try to explain to a 6-year ild that her situation was
"complicated" or "nuanced".

Maybe this is a language thing. But I don't think you are really understanding me. I think the world really IS complicated. I seldom see issues in black and white terms. And that's not something I'm going to apologize for. Even issues which might seem obvious for other people. I think that people start off life basically good and well intentioned so that when they act badly there are often reasons for it (not necessarily good reasons, or justifiable reasons, but reasons). That's just how the world is.

I don't know of anyone living or dead who is just evil for evil's sake. In fact I would even say that the belief that there is some class of people who are evil for evil's sake has been responsible for alot of violence and death in the world. It's one of the first steps. Once you look at one group and just see them as the bad guys, it becomes alot easier to view them unsympathetically and do other thigns to them.

Nazis, ultra-violent settlers, child molesters, serial killers, terrorists, got to become the people they become through a process. And the road to hell is paved with good intentions. As one friend of mine puts it, "even Osama had a mama" I think those cases are "complicated" too. So I don't have any problem saying the same about children teasing children.

Peace

Gilberto
