Allah'u'Abha

Dear Khazeh,

(1) Thanks for a message the content of which leads me to inhaling the spirit and power of the Greatest Name.

(2) You write about the "spiritual significance of Baha", stressed by its mere appearance in the New Testament in connection with the New Jerusalem and the New Name.  So even something as apparently insignificant as recital of the word "baha" or "abha" carries with it this significance, even if it occurs in a language totally unrelated to Arabic (Abdu'l-Baha's comment about the Brazilian city of Bahia).  The word is translated as "christened", but do you know the original word used by Abdu'l-Baha?  You also point out that it is no coincidence that the numeric value of Baha' is 9, the greatest single-digit number.  It is also no coincidence that the heading of every chapter of the Qur'an starts with "B" for "Baha'u'llah", or the work Abba means Father.

Now my questions:  (3) How are cumi and lama related?

(4) How can one distinguish this reverence for the spiritual mysteries and yet be free from claws of superstition?

(5) Saiedi in "Logos and Civilization" points out the significance of the numberic value of 152.  Baha'u'llah signed the Kitab-i-Iqan and some other Tablets with this number.  He points that this signified "BahA" in Arabic.  The numberic value of "B" is 2, "a" is an accent and does not have a number, "H" is 5, and "A" is 1.  Since Arabic is written from right-to-left, Baha'u'llah signed the Iqan as 152, or BHA.  Saiedi proposes that the reason Baha'u'llah chose to sign His name in its Numeric Value is because the Bab promised that the Promised One would complete the Bayan, which was left incomplete.  The Bayan was supposed to be 19 chapters with 19 sections, but the Bab only completed 11 chapters of 19 sections, so the remaining is 8 chapters of 19 sections.  If you multiply 8X19, you get 152.

If someone is wondering why the aiyn (the apostrophe in Baha' ) is left out, even though the ' has a value of 1, (that makes the total 1+5+2+1 = 9), it is because the ' is not considered to be a Letter.  In the Hidden words Baha'u'llah says that the three Letters of His Revelation are B-H-A .
