If someone says that "the Bahai faith has nothing new" they probably
aren't literally saying that the Bahai faith is the same as Islam. The
examples you give are pretty clear. Bahais don't follow the Shariah.

number of the positive teachings of the Bahai faith are also found
within Muslim principles. If not directly in the Quran and sunnah,
then from the writings of great Muslim scholars, mystics philosophers
