The Baha'i Studies Listserv ron, i offer again, the infallibility of the Voice, the complete errancy of the human (not animal) ear. the word "generation" is used with 2 closely related meaning in the Bible. one might be reduced to "profit motive" the other to the ring around the rosy of how humans let the dna exercise the profot motive. checking ocean, esdras, 5 examples. 2 strongly suggest walking meat, 3 read equally accurately with either definition.
specifically i suggest "Wisdom" 1:13-2:1. showing the >>>process<<< as being equal to the "outcome." daniel uses the word twice, strongly suggesting carnal reproductive outcome. luke 13 occurrences. and in each case except 16:8---which is clearly, contextuallly about talents and shekels and $$$ 17:25 which leans towards a demographic group perhaps a tad more strongly than toward the process of the being processes to graph, each Verse imho, and professional sense, reads at least as well with "generation" being about a process of either atraction to the Cause of God, Eternal, etc..or of the process of resisting it. the human ear reads "it's about me..maybe about mine, but..it';s all about me" regardless of what is said. in a culture immersed in the levantine equivalent of the "mayan calendar ending" with a given dare of 60-70 aD...suh readings became "natural". thy are however, artifcts of te clay, not the Stylus. :"confidently predicting the future based on their understandings of certain Writings" yup. and i had boatloads of worldcom and global crossing based on my personal understadning of the responsibility to ehlp bring forth a "world wide means of communication" etc...and??? that and $2.10 bought me coffee today. returning to an excelllent post by mark foster, the bank employee who embezzles th treasury is no more "legitimate" than the guy with a 12 guage and ski mask. the Treasury of the T&G cannnot be declared the property of any given suit. that would be ...bad. the idea that some suit can prevent you from accessing your own account in that Treasury is a "corrupt generation" of a cultture of oppression, and as an artifact of the past--in my firmest belief--is only there to be walked on as we wade into the water. __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe: send a blank email to mailto:[email protected] Subscribe: send subscribe bahai-st in the message body to [email protected] Or subscribe: http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/all_forums/subscribe?name=bahai-st Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:[email protected] Web - http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/?forum=bahai-st News (on-campus only) - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
