The Baha'i Studies Listserv lights of Guidance has a couple of references to the alcohol serving/use as societal norm. i would offer that if social alienation has no relevance to u as a person, then keeping or breaking social mores has no effect. the definition of social mores that i would accept as having some actual sociological rigour is that they are the praxes by which individuals identify their position within a social collective. "we" do (y/n) "thing x" is the social identity of the group, and is intrinsic varying group activities ranging from food gathering to mating. :"Wouldn't it just be easiest for a Baha'i to explain Baha'i laws to everyone they interact" no. 1. why would anybody care? 2. how is that an "inclusive" course of action? 3. why would anyone care?
:" How does a Baha'i keep their hair between not bald and not longer than the lobe of their ear?
