The Baha'i Studies Listserv I read once that Charles Mason Remey turned so many Baha'is in France into cbs that they had to dissolve the current National Spiritual Assembly of France and create a new one. Donald Alfonse Harvey and Jacques Soghomonian was and is from France. This group, Heart of the Baha'i Faith aka Baha'is Loyal to the Gaurdian (insert name here ie currently Jacques Soghomonian), currently claims a yahoo group load of followers and a number who live in France. Also since Joel Bray Marangella lives in Australia, they probably have some Orthodox Baha'is living in Australia?

Dear Stephen, They launched a big newspaper campaign in the '90's but as far as I've been able to determine they only attracted disaffected Baha'is. The problem is the Remeyites don't have a positive message. They are so focused on what is supposedly wrong with us that they aren't able to present anything of interest to the rest of the world. This was not the case with the Jensenites. For the very reason that their beliefs were so different from regular Baha'is, they had a unique message, weird as it was, to present to everyone else. warmest, Susan __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe: send a blank email to mailto:[email protected] Subscribe: send subscribe bahai-st in the message body to [email protected] Or subscribe: http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/all_forums/subscribe?name=bahai-st Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:[email protected] Web - http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/?forum=bahai-st News (on-campus only) - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] __________________________________________________ You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe: send a blank email to mailto:[email protected] Subscribe: send subscribe bahai-st in the message body to [email protected] Or subscribe: http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/all_forums/subscribe?name=bahai-st Baha'i Studies is available through the following: Mail - mailto:[email protected] Web - http://list.jccc.edu:8080/read/?forum=bahai-st News (on-campus only) - news://list.jccc.edu/bahai-st Old Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] New Public - http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
