The Baha'i Studies Listserv dear Stephen, according to the words of Abdul-Baha,we were supposed to have 24 Guardians,from the masculine descendents of Bahaullah.But as AbdulBaha had no son [and excommunication of Muhammad Ali];and since Shoghi Effendi had no child at all, it is believed that there has been a change [Bada' ] .
