The Baha'i Studies Listserv As far as "the government" actually physically setting up bombs to go off right before planes they sent to be flown into the towers, no there isn't any real good evidence for that at all. But there are some interesting things about the tragedy. In 2000, a document released by the rightwing Project for the New American Century talked its role in the Middle-East, and strenghthing American prescence in the Middle-East. It said that America would have to face a "new pearl harbor" to really get things going in that region. There were also ignored intelligent reports stating that Bin Laden was intending to attack the United States by using airplanes.
