Yes, but religions do tend to have good makers for devoutness even if they are
external. Psychologically, external markers are good indicators. The arguments
this doesn't intrinsically mean that is not the same as this instrincally means
not that. How often does a person attend religious services? read scriptures?
pray? meditate? give to charity? fast? go on pilgrimages? teach? preach?
Any study of a religion will tend to compare and contrast them with one,
several, or all of: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. These four
make up the vast majority of humanity.
Christianity 1.8-2.3 billion (22.5%-28.75%)
Islam 1.6-2.1 billion (20%-26.25%)
Buddhism 0.4-1.6 billion (5%-20%)
Hinduism 0.8-1.5 billion (10%-18.75%)
Total 4.6-7.5 billion (57.5%-93.75%)
With these stats, this is bound to happen.
