The Baha'i Studies Listserv
I have heard that the age of Aisha may have been exaggerated as being
younger than she actually was. Another view I've heard is that the
culture had no problem with child marriage, at any rate, and that this
criticism is anachronistic (altho' what some Muslim societies may have
done with that example is another story). What about the other two
marriages of Muhammad that Dr. Sultan criticizes?
