Granted, but this is not what Iskandar is attacking. He is having a temper tantrum because he doesn't want Gilberto on this list. I've not seen Gilberto representing any of the positions which most of us find objectionable about Muslims today. I think his perennialism is dead wrong but I don't see why we can't discuss that rational rather than take these kinds of pot-shots at Islam. I think perennialism leaves us in the Dark Ages, but triumphalism is not good either.
