I'm took some classes in sociology, so I'm familliar with it and these three
theories in particular. Marxism goes under conflict theory rather than under
the name Marxism itself in sociology.

It's weird there has been little mention of structuralism / functionalism,
since it puts alot of emphasis on the unity of society as a whole. Also, other
ideologies than Marxism have been tied to sociology.

So why does Marxism gets so overrepresent among socilogical thought in Bahai
Studies?

I personally tend to view things as a symbolic interactionist, but some overlap
with structuralism /functionalism does occur.
