The Baha'i Studies Listserv That really depends on how you define "religion". If you use the narrow Baha'i definition of religion as the organized followers of a Manifestation, then the answer is, "No." However in common practice, the term is used much broader. I believe from comments made by those who can read the languages of Revelation that the Central Figures of the Faith used the term in a variety of definitions also. In this latter sense, we do accept Sikhism as a religion.
Juche/Chuch'e is more problematical. Calling it a religion, tho', is consistent w/ adherents.com use of the term, which you will notice accepts "Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist" as a religion. In my opinion, it is a Korean nationalist ideology that functions as a personality cult for Kim Il-sung. In the 60's and 70's they made effort to export it. While they claim that there are followers outside of Korea, there is little evidence of a significant number. I personally do not accept Juche as a religion, but believe that it is more properly grouped w/ "secular/nonreligious/agnostic/atheist".
