Dear Brent, Yes, Arab Christians call God Allah as well. Evangelicals have started this myth about Allah originally being an Arab moon god. It's nonsense. > I know that in some places in the Bible God is referred to by other names > such as Lord, Jehovah, Jah, Elohim, and so on; the same is true in English > language translations of the Bible, and I am not referring to these > instances. You should talk about Elohim as that is a direct cognate of Allah, except Elohim is plural and Allah is singular. warmest, Susan ---------- You are subscribed to Baha'i Studies as: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Baha'i Studies is available through the following: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://list.jccc.net/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=bahai-st news://list.jccc.net/bahai-st http://www.escribe.com/religion/bahaist (public) http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED] (public)
