Dear Don,
As I indicated, this can't be done for AOL users. In Outlook if you see
those lines you go up and click on "Format" and then click on "Plain Text."
warmest, Susan
It can be done if one is using AOL 7.0 or lower. All one needs to do before sending an e-mail is to right click, choose select all, then go to the top of a list that appears, and click text/normal, then send the message while the message is still in "select all" mode. I learned this because I moderate a list that absolutely requires plain ascii text. This is the only way to do this at this time using AOL, unless the new AOL 9.0 will provide some options.
I have sent many requests to AOL to provide plain text options, but so far the requests have not been heard.
Almost all other mail programs, including Outlook Express, give options to send mail in plain text, no mime and no html. I don't know why AOL is so stubborn.
Greetings,
Shirley Macias ----------
