super-commentaries, glosses, and notes, unreadable, unprofitable, the
product of misdirected ingenuity and toil, and pronounced by one of the most
enlightened Islamic thinkers in modern times as works obscuring sound
knowledge, breeding maggots, and fit for fire, are now buried away,
overspread with cobwebs, and forgotten.
I think this list MOSTLY keeps away from the silly issues, but there is an emphasis upon upon "scholarly" concerns. That is highly appropriate since this is a list for Baha`i scholars - amateur and professional. MOST of the possts are in that vein and certainly NOT what Shoghi Effendi warns against above., David seems to be a heat seeking missile for the trivial, I admit, but his questions are not always off the mark.
