Presumably, in repeating these Eastern narratives, Baha'u'llah and `Abdu'l-Baha were 
attempting to teach Their readers something. I would question, however, whether that 
pedagogy was historical or, on the other hand, the use of these popular stories as 
vehicles for certain spiritual lessons.
