Hi all,
Posting after a rather long hiatus.
I have a classic 180 and I have changed the 18" spoked wheels to 17"
alloys (black). While washing the bike recently I saw a small bump on
the rim. On close inspection I could see a fine crack on both sides of
the valve. The bump is on the sidewall (where the rim meets the tire)
of the rim. Looks like I will have to get the wheel replaced.

I spoke to a few local mechanics and was surprised to know that this
is a common issue with Pulsars that have alloys. I just wanted to know
whether this is true?

My daily commute is around 60 KMS, mostly on the highways (though the
highways in Mumbai leave a lot to be desired :-(.. ) I have given up
my jack-rabbit riding style long ago and am quite careful on bad roads
so am surprised that I've managed to damage my rim. Or is this again
due to Bajaj skimping on quality.

Regards,
Hiren
