Was heading home late night from office with my colleague as pillion. Was at
SEEPZ road towards JVLR when hear someone honking like crazy from some distance
behind. Before I could realise one Sumo just whizzes past in an utter rash
manner- thats what one can expect from these call centre vehicles at mid-night.

I keep an eye on the vehicle. There's one auto cruising along comfortably and
this guy's honking again, the auto slowly tries to get to the left to give a
pass, but no- this moron wants to overtake from left and is still honking. He
sling shots to the right of the auto and wild steers his Sumo to the left to
scare the auto guy and comes close almost to a side impact. The auto tries to
avoid and unluckily the road on the left side is under construction and almost
a feet down the road. Poor chap, his auto goes out of control, rumbling over
the rocks and finally topples over a couple of times before banging into a tree.

Wasnt able to grasp the regn no of the vehicle and thought of chasing it, but
then there was no one on the road to pull the driver out. We both pulled him
out and felt so bad seeing his state- a weak old man he was. By the grace of
god he was without a scratch, but his auto was shattered. Then a couple of
rickshaws arrived and took care of the scene. We decided to chase the Sumo and
give the driver a thrashing of his life. Unfortunately didnt find him- he
quickly escaped via some other route.

I was totally heated up and was cursing myself that I wasnt able to catch hold
of him. The driver sure knew abt the tumbling auto behind, but didnt even stop.
He's going to carry this guilt all his life as to assuming what happened after
his foolish act of road rage. Wondering what a state are we living in today-
for no apparent reason someone almost gets on the verge of killing someone.

Regards,

Deepak
