Hi All,

Acting on a suggestion by Dr. Arnob, Dr Sanket is proposing a
discussion on Trauma Management.

One of the risks that we face as bikers is of accidents. Yeah, we hope
and pray that they never happen, but we are not always lucky. As such
it is always better to be prepared for the worst. Dr Sanket is
planning a session for Mumbai/Pune folks for now (as he is mumbai
based) and then onto different cities as and when it can be done. The
following is the plan ( please make suggestions if you think that
something will be important) :
- Seriousness of injuries : Which injuries need a doctor's attention
immediately, and which we can afford to wait.
- What to do when there is no help nearby
- How to stabilize a wound or fracture till you get help.
- What you need in an emergency kit

A bit about Dr. Sanket in his own words:
"Dr. Sanket J. Kawli 26/M r/o Mumbai and workin in the Accident &
Emergency Dept of P.D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mahim as a Casualty
Medical Officer for almost 3yrs. I have been ridin since 2004 whn i

done many grp rides, some 500+ km/day. i used to ride with Prasad
Temkar, Deepak Dongre & Parimal Deshpande who r not just my riding

Please feel free to pass on this message, and stay tuned for further updates.

Regards,
Vibhu on behalf of Dr Sanket
