Hi Guys, Most of the people would know this, for who don't - sharing a log of my SaddleSore attempt. With the guidance from people whom I consider my inspiration/role model and the good wishes from my friends- I was able to succeed on my first attempt. Route chosen was Lonavla-Tumkur-Lonavla. Covered 1723 kms in 23 hours- following are the stats of the ride (the following timings include breaks not just ride hours).
Lonavla to Belgaum- 418 kms in 5 hours 16 mins- Avg speed: 79.37 kph Belgaum to Tumkur- 444 kms in 6 hours 20 mins- Avg speed: 70.11 kph Tumkur to Belur- 386 kms in 5 hours 15 mins- Avg speed: 73.52 kph Belur to Sarola, Pune- 366 kms in 4 hours 20 mins- Avg speed: 84.46 kph Sarola, Pune to Lonavla- 109 kms in 1 hour 30 mins- Avg speed: 72.67 kph Total: Lonavla-Tumkur-Lonavla- 1723 kms in 23 hours- Avg speed: 74.91 kph Enough of number crunching, here's another boring blog ;) http://pulsurge.blogspot.com/2009/01/saddlesore-success-at-first-attempt.html Regards, Deepak
