So I thought i would settle either for the '09 Ninja or '09 GSXR 600 both of which cost AED 40k here. 2) After a 'Requirements discussion' with a friend, I realized that I didnt really want a full race style SBK because you're in the crouch position even in the city which would get very uncomfy regardless of the bike maker. 3) I still remember before I got my Karizma ... I really wanted a Bullet as thumpers are in my opinion the most fun to ride. But due to the fact that Bulls are more frequent on maintenance as well as the fact that I couldnt speed on one deterred me from getting myself one. I settled for a Karizma which I havent sold yet and dont regret it either. Its another wonderful bike. 4) Now that it was decided that I wanted a street bike for sure, I was left with KTM, Harley Davidson, BMW and Buell. * ALL Harleys are too heavy * BUELL has the Ulysses to compete in that category with 1203cc V-Twin Air cooled Engine 5 speed transmission weighing at 192 Kg with just 87BHP. A Super Duke feels like a Ulysses on Steroids. * All BMW's are too costly. * Among the Japs, Honda and Suzuki do not concentrate in this segment in Dubai. Yamahas are known for their uncomfortable rides and not the best Gearboxes too. * KTM quality is next to that of Ducatis and come at a cheaper price too. They look awesome, have an awesome thump coupled with awesome handling and pickup. All this made me finally purchase a Super Duke 990 which just arrived last evening :D Regards, Eric --- In [email protected], Kapil Bagadwal <iamkap...@...> wrote: > > Eric, > > But did you even try the Hondas? i'm sure KTMs are good and you loved the > way it handles but, I think you should test ride all (Hondas, BMWs, Yamaha, > Suzuki) before making the decision if that is possible. > > I'm saying this because i've heard CBR is the best 1L bike to ride. though i > have absolutely no hands on experience. > > regards, > Kapil > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ __The Bajaj Pulsar User Group__ www.bajajpulsar.org Yahoo!
