Here is the history of KAWASAKI:
· Kawasaki company was established by Shozo Kawasaki whose main
business was building planes, trains and boats and then in 1954 he came into
motorcycle business. Kawasaki soon became a serious competitor in the world of
motorcycles with some record breaking power machines.
· 1981 Kawasaki releases the GPz550. It’s air-cooled and has only two
valves per cylinder, but its performance threatens the 750cc machines of rival
manufacturers. This is the bike that launches the 600 class.
· The most well known Kawasaki motorcycle is the ZZR-R1100. This model
was introduced in 1990 and lead the industry in sales for five years. Kawasaki
made history in 2000 when it introduced the ZX-12R, a super bike featuring a
unique frame that could out run any dirt bike on the track. This bike was the
fastest production bike in that period.
· Then in 2004 Kawasaki came with Ninja ZX10R which was the most
powerful, best in handling and a good value for money bike. And from that
period till now it is one of powerful bike in 1000 C.C. category except in 2005
where it lacked in power for just 0.9 BHP. 2009 Ninja ZX10R is the most
powerful bike in 1000 C.C. category where it is way ahead of R1 and CBR1000.
· In 2006,Kawasaki launched Ninja ZX14R which destroyed Hayabusa’s
“FASTEST BIKE IMAGE”.[FYI, Ninja ZX12R which is so old as compared to Busa has
beated it in several drag races and to your amuzment it is more faster then the
Busa!!].2008 Ninja ZX14R is also faster than Busa even though it has 5 BHP low
because of US Sound & Pollution regulation.
· Ninja ZX6R is the best middle weight bike in its category. And
resently launched ZX6R is more leaner, meaner and faster then its competitors.
Racing Heritage:
· 1969: Dave Simmonds gives Kawasaki its first World Championship, in
the 125cc class.
· 1978: Kork Ballington wins the 250cc and 350cc World Championships
with fore-and-aft parallel-Twin racers (Rotax also built racing motors in this
configuration. Ballington will repeat the feat in ’79. In 1980 he will finish
second in the premier 500cc class. Anton Mang takes over racing duties in the
250 and 350 classes, and he will win four more titles over the next three
years. This is the most successful period for Kawasaki in the World
Championship.
· 1981: Eddie Lawson wins the AMA Superbike championship for Kawasaki
after an epic battle with Honda’s Freddie Spencer. He will repeat as champion
the following year.
· 1991:The ZXR750R begins a four year run as the top bike in the FIM
Endurance World Championship..
· 1993:Scott Russell wins the World Superbike Championship.
· 2002: Bubba Stewart wins AMA 125 MX championship.
· 2007: Stewart wins the 2007 AMA SX championship.
And those who say that Honda and Yamahas has more championship than Kawasaki,
then my dear friend Kawasaki entered racing circuits way late than Honda &
Yamaha. On the other hand there WERE, only two bikes of Kawasakis in Motogp
whereas Yamaha have 4 bikes:
FIAT TEAM YAMAHA & TECH 3 YAMAHA, each having 2 bikes. Honda on the other hand
have more than Yamaha. Two bikes of REPSOL TEAM, One of LCR HONDA,One of
GRESINI TEAM,and uptill Laguna Seca 2 bikes of SCOT TEAM.And if you say Yamahas
and Honads are no.1 well its a pleasure for me that they are been beaten by
Aprillia and Gilera in 125cc and 250 cc.Beat that honda and yamaha
