Hi All, Had planned a trek to Koraigad on Sunday, skipped Koraigad as it was too easy for a trek, finalised Mahuli- but had to skip that too coz I was already very late in departure. Hence instead of landing nowhere, I decided to go to Koraigad again....it was a disasterous decision- I was stuck for 2 hours on the Amby Valley stretch and couldnt even get close to Bushi Dam. (Remembered Jayaram's advice) Took a U-Turn to return, which took another hour to come back to the main road. Was already 4 and instead of returning back home, went offroading to Rajmachi.
Phew! What a ride it was...beautiful scenery, from bad to atrocious roads, knee deep pools of muddy paste, but then equal number of streams to wash off. My poor steed took a battering of its life. Was all alone in the forest, except for a Toyota Landcruiser for company in the later stages. Well it was a tough route for that mighty 4x4 too :) Unfortunately with another 4 kms to go, aborted the trip as it was already 6.15 and didnt want to take a chance of any damages to the bike and getting stuck in the dark Kept praying to God that I dont face a puncture or else it would have been a suicidal adventure. Thankfully nothing happened as such, but no sooner I hit the expressway- the rear tyre gave up. Had to push the bike 8 kms to Khopoli. Rode back home at a relaxed pace and on the way stopped over at Revel's place. Here are the pics- not very sharp as they are clicked from mobile, also it was raining quite heavily at places and mist forming on the lens. http://picasaweb.google.com/pulsurge/OffroadingToRajmachi# Am going again next Sunday, this time I wont miss the destination :) Regards, Deepak
