Hi Techies,

Got my bike serviced some days back at Reddy with a long list of
replaced parts. After the bike was serviced, I took it for a spin and
found that between 4k-5k rpm the bike used to jerk (similar feeling
when the bike runs out of fuel). He removed the coil cleaned it
thoroughly and put it back. Though the problem went off after this,
the same thing started when picking up, but was very marginal. Reddy
said that it was due to water in the coil and will get back to normal
once the water vapourises. Now this issue has just elevated- the
engine suddenly runs out of breath at any speed, will jerk for a few
seconds and get back to life again. At times it feels scary as the
deccerelation is very quick- feels like a vehicle tail-gating might
just bang into me :( Worse is in stop and go traffic, the engines down
and doesnt start at all (with hordes of vehicles behind me honking
their guts out) unless I use the choke and give it a redline whack.
Doesnt work always and I end up riding through traffic with the choke
on.

The second issue is with the RPM reading. It is always 700-1000 mark
above the normal. Earlier 60 kph in 5th gear used to be around
4100-4200 rpm and now it shows 5000 and the error rises with increase
in speed.

Will be going back to him for a fix- but any idea of why this happens
and a DIY solution? Arpan, Venkat Sir suggestions pls.

Regards,

Deepak
