All Indian youths are having dream to buy sports bikes like
Ninjas,CBRs,GSXRs,R1s,Haybusa and all. And people are buying them also and now
companies are officially launching their bikes in Indian market. But a big case
has come in light.Its goes like this:
Some of the so called "Smugglers" have done wierd thing. To reduce the cost of
the bike those people imported parts of the bike like wheels,
tyres,engines,brakes,brake paddles,etc. and then combined all the parts at one
place and made the whole bike. Customs of India was lossing 6-7 lacs of custom
duties because of this type of import. Some other mafias gave money to
corrupted customs officers and the 1000 cc bikes where imported in the name of
600cc motorcycles. For example, if Ninja zx10r was imported it was imported in
the name of Ninja zx6r. Then when this fraud came into light, you will be wowed
that to reimburse the custom duties the notice letter was sent to daily wage
earners gujarat labourers who dosnt have money to even buy a cycle.
Some of the bikes are been running in pune with RTO register numbers without
proper documentation. Some of the bikes are seased by custom authorities.Still
there are more bikes running in different parts of the country with fake
documents.
