It would in ideal scenario... however, here the front wheel will be
disheartened as it has not got the new 'faster' tyres and will try
everything to slow down the rear wheel and consequently the whole bike will
be slower than normal setup. Please do not upset any of your wheels and put
the softer tyres on either both or none of the wheels.
