================== Hey Deepak, I agree with a couple of Buells looking ugly ... but before I got my SD'990 and even now, i used to drool @ the Buell Ulysses parked below my building. It still is in the list of the very few bikes I desire to take a ride on. Dying to try out the following in Descending order :- 1) Triumph Speed Triple 2) Harley Fatbob / Fatboy / Softail (any one) 3) Harley V-Rod 4) BMW K1200S 5) Buell Ulysses XBS1200 6) Goldwing 7) Fireblade Going a little off-topic. those interested can read on :- My take on a couple of bikes I've ridden :- R1 wasnt upto the mark I expected ... Till 4,000 RPM, the bike is a dead duck. Even a CD 100 feels better there; after 4000 RPM, power kicks in and feels better. Front brakes (Nissin i think) were terribly scary too ( am too used to a Brembo's bite i guess) Busa was a thrill. Very comfy, and that bike does take curves way better than I thought. Cruising @ 240kmph on that bike is like doing 70kmph on a ZMA. I couldnt dare to go more as it was my 1st time. It doesnt feel fast, but the scenery flies past you. Good character, good pickup, good brakes, awesome sound, but could get a little boring during long runs. KTM RC8 - I rate it as a bike good for a track and awesome to show off cos of its highly appealing looks including its awesome dash (wish i had the same). Tough Vibs creep in after 220kmph. Its got a better pickup than a SD 990, but due to its race stance, cant make out much of it till the front wheel lifts during pickup. Lastly the KTM SuperDuke 990 - If pickup is what you're looking for, this should be it. Not even a 1300cc Busa. At 182kgs, its flickable and can weave through traffic, unintentional wheelspins occur even on a brand new Pirelli Corsa III. Bike will take you anywhere till 260 kmph if you really want it to (being a V-Twin), but its really hard to combat the wind past 220kmph. I've topped 242kmph which is much more than what a StreetBike is supposed to do. Speeding above 220kmph is quite a task for the rider due to no wind resistance, but thats where the fun lies, you know u're fast, u feel you're fast .... and thats all you need. So if for the Speed, get a Busa (Sorry me not a ZX14R fan even though the Kwacker 250 does look a little appealing to me) If its for Pickup, Its the SD990 ... heard the triumph Speed Triple is also damn good. For fun cruises and an ultra awesome feel, its Got to be no other than a Harley Davidson (havent told this to anyone in my group here else my sbk friends would taunt me to death lol) Deep down, I wanna own a HD along with my current bike, but cant afford one :'( I know its weird cos I have never ridden one, but riding with them, I know what its like (havent told this to anyone in my group here else my sbk friends would taunt me to death; and the Harley guys would probably push me till i get one lol) Nice posting after a long time Cheerzz, Eric
