Happened to me once before same symptoms, luckily that time it was one year old and I got a new CDI from the service center. The tacho needle used to go way beyond the 12k line (not on revving the whole throttle) but because of the faulty CDI. Then one fine day while coming home from office it went off. Bike wouldnt start.
Same thing happened yesterday. No spark coming from the spark plug when you try to start. Plonked in a new spark plug to check, still no spark. Checked the wiring for broken things, nothing. Co-incidentially the mech near my home plonked the CDI into some other similar model P150 classic and tried starting that bike, failed. The CDI from the other P150 onto my bike, passed ,started normally. Thats why I said the CDI failed. Now, the mech says that such CDI's are hard to find. Looked out in about 20+ shops in Pune nearby which I know of , no-one has that. They are trying to sell off some duplicate maal which I dont want to risk, albeit it could keep my bike going until it fails again.
