It might be a good idea if we write a letter through greenpaece websites expressing our apprehension of planned PLTGU in Pemaron. Who knows the central govenment is interested in reviewing this plan. As far as I know I was told by a friend of mine who is still working for the Buleleng's Local Government that what is taken into account by the Bupati that should this project go ahead, it will boost the Buleleng's local revenues ( PAD ). In this regard, in my opinion the Bupati only takes account one aspect by ignoring the other aspects where most of the people rely on their livelihood. This morning, I read a local newpaper that Bupati of Klungkung said that he was offering his idea by saying that PLTGU may be built in Nusa Penida should the people of Buleleng keep rejecting it. Well, it sounds wonderful. but I think the Bupati of Klungkung has no idea at all about the core of the problem. We never reject the PLTGU in Buleleng, what we have been demanding so far that the PLTGU must not be built in Pemaron, even we have suggested that the PLTGU can be built in Celukan Bawang only a few kilomters from Lovina. It is a far cry if Indonesia Power will be willing to move its site from Pemaron to Nusa Penida. We may ask one of our friends who really good in English will write a letter to greenpeace. How about Pak Ngurah Ny? Titiang nunas geng sinampura banget yening wenten keiwangan titiang sekadi sesonggan Baline : to err is human. Best regards, Nyoman Suwela
