saya masih inget tuh kata dosen saya...

Salam hormat, Tjahjo

Terimakasih, Tjahjkartiko

WADE Meets Canadian Provincial Minister to Discuss Decentralized Energy
Alberta Energy Minister Knight Welcomes WADE Staff
Edmonton, Canada- WADE met recently with the Energy Minister Mel Knight of the Canadian province of Alberta, as well as other key government officials. On the Agenda was the use of cogeneration in the Alberta oil sands, special regulations for the treatment of cogeneration under the provincial 'Specified Gas Emitters Regulation' and the potential for microCHP in the province. Alberta is emerging as an important region in global energy markets due to its extensive 'oil sand' resources. The Alberta reserves are thought to represent more than 80% of the world's natural bitumen reserves, putting proven Canadian oil reserves second in the world behind those of Saudi Arabia. Also of common interest at the meetings was the recent formation of WADE Canada group to focus efforts on promoting decentralized energy across Canada.

Canadian Coalition Uses WADE Model to Make the Case for Clean Decentralized Energy
Report Shows DE and Energy Efficiency Most Economic Path for Ontario
Toronto, Canada- A new report entitled 'Renewable is Doable', based on the findings of the WADE economic model was released in late July by a coalition of Canadian organizations, including the WWF and the Pembina Institute. The report confirms that smart, targeted investments in a diverse array of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions (including renewable and non-renewable fired cogeneration) over the next twenty years will achieve major cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, accelerate the closure of our highly-polluting coal plants, and avoid the need for new nuclear investments.

House Passes Energy Bill, Battles Loom in Senate, White House
Cross-Party Support Shows Increasing Importance of DE as Energy Security Measure
Washington, USA - In a rare Saturday session, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a far-reaching energy bill that increases federal support for energy conservation and efficiency programs and requires utilities to obtain 15 percent of their electricity from renewable energy sources. Twenty-six Republicans crossed party lines to vote for the initiative. The House also passed a companion tax package, which would divert $15.3 billion in new taxes on oil and natural gas producers toward increased investment in renewable energy and conservation. But the legislation has a long way to go before it is enacted into law and the Bush administration has already threatened to veto the measure. The bill will also have to be reconciled with a Senate version, which passed last June but is more restrained and emphasizes slightly different priorities.

Sugar Mills May be Allowed to Generate Power
Development May Pave Way into Power Market for Other Industries
Islamabad, Pakistan - The government is expected to allow sugar mills to use furnace oil as co-fuel for power production to overcome the worst ever energy crisis in country's history. The sugar industry can produce about 2000MW electricity in five years. An earlier initiative by the government to utilise sugar industry's capacity for power generation about two years ago had failed to materialise because of gas shortages and the government did not consider furnace oil as an alternative fuel at that time. The electricity shortage has become acute now and the government is ready to purchase it at higher tariffs.

They, however, believe that when the country is experiencing its worst power crisis, the caretaker government can easily get 200-300 MW ready electricity from the CPP if the tariff is made lucrative and gas price reduced in line with the price applicable to other producers like PDB and IPP.
