Dear Pa Sihbudi
Please may I take this opportunity to thank you for an excellent day on
Friday. My students, Ibu Karina and I throughly enjoyed the
presentation, informative question and answer session and Indonesian
food at lunch.
The students especially enjoyed the traditional costumes toward the end
of the day and we have many good photo's to help them remember this
experience.
Ibu Karina and I are very excited about linking with a school from Bali
and we had many ideas to discuss on the journey back to Oxford . We
especially liked your offer to support us with setting up an enterprise
exchange project where Oxford Community School can import arts and
crafts to the UK . This project sounds a real challenge and one which
can bring sustainable learning benefits for both schools involved, as
well as student generated income that is relevant to work related
learning (real life).
May I ask you two questions, do you have the name of the vocational
school in Bali where students learn crafts, carving and arts?
Do you think I can visit this school when I am in Bali (February 2008)
to research and discuss this exchange project idea?
I would also like to offer you an invitation to Oxford Community
School . This invitation is open and you are welcome anytime especially
if you have representatives from education visiting or teachers from
Indonesian that are interested in UK educational systems.
We, Oxford Community School thank you again and I look forward to my
visit on Bali .
Regards
Pa Lee Edwards
