Anehnya, sama sekali tidak menyinggung hub. breast cancer dengan PD, atau
bahwa breast cancer yg. ter-metastase dapat menyebabkan PD. Mungkin ada rekan
dari kalangan medis yg. mau menjelaskan lebih lanjut ?
Jangan-jangan cuma hoax (lagi-lagi?).

Paget's disease
In this disease, the normal maintenance system that keeps your
bones healthy and strong is disrupted, and new bone is produced
faster than old bone is broken down. The disease occurs in two
stages. In the first ("vascular") stage, bone tissue is broken
down but the spaces left are filled with blood vessels and fibrous
tissues instead of new, strong bone. In the second ("sclerotic")
phase, the blood-filled fibrous tissue becomes hardened and bone-like
but it is weaker and more fragile than healthy bone.
Paget's disease is extremely variable; it can occur in part or
all of one or many bones. The hip bone (pelvis) and shin bone
(tibia) are the commonest sites; the thigh bone (femur), skull,
spinal bones (vertebrae) and collar bone (clavicle) are also
frequently affected. The cause of the disease is unknown.
What are the symptoms?
Paget's disease does not always produce symptoms. When it does,
bone pain is the most common problem. The aching discomfort is
virtually continuous and is often worse at night. The affected
bones become enlarged and misshapen, and they feel warm and tender.
Depending on which bones are diseased, your legs may become bent,
your skull may be misshapen and your spine may develop a sideways
curve.
