Oh, I forgot to mention, about session management: I had to add <item>/usr/local/lib/bonobo/servers</item> to /etc/bonobo-activation/bonobo-activation-config.xml to get it to work. I don't understand bonobo-activation, but in my case, the problem seemed to have something to do with the installation prefix. HTH!
