Sigh. Why me? Indeed, it was --with-webkit that was the problem. I've
attached the config.log.  Thanks.

What do you think about an option conflict-checking patch, like the one 
attached?

I tried something like that when we first started testing webkit--the problem 
is that --with-gtkhtml=3 is the default, so if you want to configure 
--with-webkit, you have to explicitly use --without-gtkhtml or 
--with-gtkhtml=no to avoid erroring out.

Perhaps there's a way to make the default --with-gtkhtml=no when --with-webkit 
is specified?
