Your Majesty,

I feel it is now time to deal with the situation arising from the events
that led to the demise of the Gascon regiment, and the subsequent
mystifying events in the Courts of Justice.

To this end may I suggest the following. I will be leading a team of
investigators to the region to examine evidence and gather up remaining
conspirators. The province in question is somewhat formenting with public
opinion wanting to see more done about, and I quote my sources here
[Pardon my English] 'the damn Spanish dogs and their poxy lackeys'.
I would request that a frontier regiment be assigned to the region for
actin against strongholds we may find, and to deal with the banditry in
the area (which may be irregular forces rather than simple malcontents).

I would also like to suggest a Royal Tour of the area. It would calm the
populace and give them a sense of wellbeing and comfort that the far away
Capital takes note of their problems. I have requested that detachments of
both the Kings Musketeers and the Royal Foot Guards be available as close
escort in addition to the presence of a Frontier regiment, and have
recieved agreement from the Musketeers. I have also put a similar request
to the Light Dragoons and anticipate agreement there, particularly should
Louisa join you on the Tour.

This will rapidly defuse the situation, both by placing miltary forces in
the area to remove foreign influence and act as peacekeepers for the
populace in the event of an external intervention, as well as the more
traditional Completeness of Nation that only the Crown can establish.

I remain yours and await your consideration of the matter,

Duc Bud Y Zer
