As you know I have been bedridden for the past month with gout.
Unfortunately, I have just received your note regarding the meeting at
Fleur: it pains me to tell you <OOC: Boy, does it pain me :-( > that I will
be unable to attend and take the minutes, as my battalion is set to go to
the front for the month. Unfortunately, I will be assisting the Dutch
fighting the Spaniards in the United Provinces. I trust, however, that I
will return safe and well to resume my duties as your aide at the beginning
of December. Your understanding in this matter would be greatly
appreciated.
