Hello,

this is completely OOC and only interesting for the 0.01% of the Western
population, who own a Mac and have a GREAT idea about rescuing data...
Some weeks ago had this (as it turned out very bad) idea to upgrade to the
latest version (5) of Outlook Express for the Mac. After approx. 1 hour of
*importing* my old emails, contacts etc. to Outlook Express 5 and after two
weeks of intense testing the new OE, I thought it would be a good idea to
stick to Outlook 5 and erase my old Outlook 4.5 folder.

Unfortunately (after all it's a Microsoft prg, therefore I should say: As I
should have known?) after pressing the button "do you really want to erase
the folder Outlook Express 4.5", and starting up Outlook 5, the program
started with empty Inboxes, Folders, Contacts and stuff and welcomed me as
"A new user". Why, Mr. Gates did I have to import my old email into Outlook
5 then if it stays in the old folder anyway, heh?

Does anybody have a clue how to recover my old Outlook 4.5. folder again?
Norton does not work at all (it finds all the files I deleted from the
early eighties to 06.30 this morning, but not this HUGE folder I threw into
the garbage 10 minutes ago?!).

Sorry for bugging you... but 40 megs are *gone* (and with it my whole
banana stuff!)

best greetings,

Kay
