I would like to welcome you to the City and to enquire if you have come to
seek a military career. If so, it is my hope, that you would consider the
Royal Marines.
I am planning an evening, this month, to mark my recent promotion to LtC.
If you would care to attend you would be most welcome. It should afford
you the chance to mingle with the lads of the Royal Marines. I would
insist that you allow me to cover all costs to you and your lady. We could
talk of any further assistance you may need in taking a commission at
that time.
