To: Members of The King's Musketeers Last month the Guards Brigade suddenly became without a commander. I decided that the time was right for me to resign as Minister of Justice and take on a new challenge. The result turned out quite good and I was promoted to Brigadier General. This ends my many many years in the King's Musketeers and it is with some sadness that I leave the command into the hands of Vicomte Guy le Vair. Vicomte Guy le Vair has only been with us for less than a year but he has proven his ability and I am sure that he will do excellent as commander of the King's Musketeers. The King's Musketeers will always be in my blood and I will continue to help out in any way that I can.
