rely on your trial to proceed without delay. You may make whatever plans
(attempts to bribe His Majesty's gaolers as you suggested in your letter,
or perhaps hiring a coach to Switzerland) you deem appropriate.
It is usual for the defense to be given after the prosecution has
presented its case. Perhaps until then you can find someone less busy to
serve as an audience for your rehearsals. I understand that some of the
seedier clubs allow all comers to present comic material on Tuesday evenings.
