I know there is a solid chain-of-command in the Dragoon
Guards, but I felt that this missive should be sent to you directly. I
have come to the realization that, with the powerful men currently in command,
advancement in this glorious regiment seems an almost impossibility. This
note is to inform you that I will be actively searching for a commission in
another regiment. It has been an honour serving you and the Dragoon
